What Fizz reports
Fizz reports payment history on the revolving, open‑end line of credit that is accessed by your Fizz Card. That includes:
-
On‑time payments (positive history)
-
Late/missed payments and defaults (negative history)
-
Account status changes (for example, closing the line can affect credit)
For formal definitions and obligations, review your Line of Credit Agreement and Cardholder Agreement.
When reporting occurs
-
Cadence: Fizz reports to the bureaus monthly. Source: Do debit cards build your credit?
-
Missed payment handling: Fizz uses Daily Autopay and SafeFreeze to prevent balance build‑up; if you miss a payment, your card locks and you have a one‑month window to catch up before a late mark is reported. Sources: Daily Autopay, Avoid late payments
How to verify your Fizz tradeline
-
Check your Experian and TransUnion files. You’re entitled to free bureau reports; pulling your own reports is a soft inquiry and won’t hurt your score. Source: Checking your credit won’t hurt your score
-
Allow one full reporting cycle (30–45 days from first use) for new activity to appear.
-
If your tradeline or payments aren’t showing after a full cycle, contact Fizz Support via in‑app chat, email, or voicemail. Sources: Resources hub, Membership
FAQs
-
Does applying for Fizz create a hard inquiry? No; Fizz does not do a hard or soft pull for card approval. Source: Checking your credit won’t hurt your score
-
Do you guarantee a score increase? No. Results vary by usage and other accounts; Fizz is not a credit repair service. Sources: Features: Build Credit, Resources
-
What happens if I cancel membership? Your card and line of credit close at the end of your term; closing a line can negatively impact your score. Sources: Membership, Download page disclosures
-
Why does Equifax show nothing? Fizz does not report to Equifax. If you read otherwise on third‑party sites, rely on this page and linked Fizz policies. Sources: Why isn’t my credit score getting better?, Web2App
